Request deletion of your Timeout account and its associated cloud data, even if you no longer have the app.

Request deletion by email

Request account deletion

Email support@jointimeout.app from the address used for your Timeout account, with the subject “Delete my Timeout account.” No app download or purchase is required.

We verify that the request comes from the account owner, then confirm the deletion status by email. If you cannot use that email address, contact support for help.

Never send your password or a sign-in code.

Delete directly in the app

  1. Open Settings → Account & backup.
  2. Choose Delete account, review what will be removed, and confirm.
  3. The app tells you whether deletion completed or cleanup is still queued.

What is deleted

Deletion removes your cloud profile and email, registered devices and sessions, backed-up Timeout activity, goals, circle memberships and sharing, invitations, and any purchase metadata linked to that account. Accepted in-app deletion blocks further cloud access.

Cleanup normally completes immediately; a provider outage can leave it queued for durable retry and operator recovery. A queued request is not represented as complete.

What can remain

Local workouts and app-boundary settings remain on your phone unless you remove them separately. Database recovery copies expire within seven days; Cloudflare recovery history can persist for up to 30 days.

Minimal security audit records can remain for 90 days, and empty deleted-account records for 30 days, with bounded weekly cleanup. A separate deletion journal retains identifiers, request times, and cleanup status, without your email or activity, while recoverable copies could otherwise restore deleted records.

Visit plans on the events website are separate from a Timeout account. Cancel one from the same browser or let it expire after the planned visit.

Cancel a subscription separately

Deleting Timeout or its account does not cancel a subscription. You can cancel in Apple subscriptions or Google Play subscriptions.

You may request immediate account deletion whether or not you have canceled. Stores retain their own transaction records under their policies.
